HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
IN MUSKEGON, MI

Job Function:

Develops and administers various human resource and environmental health and safety plans and procedures for all company personnel. Participates in developing goals, objectives, systems and recommends necessary changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Implements, revises, and updates Environmental Management System, serving as Environmental Management Representative.
  • Directs, monitors, and evaluates HR department activities and performance, ensuring alignment with HR functions.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures. Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Ensures continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt personnel; oversees new employee orientations; monitors career paths; Develops strategies to recruit potential employees, which are currently not actively seeking a new work challenge.
      • Manages talent development and succession planning, implementing and updating compensation programs.
      • Maintains department records, organizational charts, and employee directories.
      • Participates in administrative meetings, seminars, and stays updated on legal issues.
      • Oversees HR data analytics, employee satisfaction surveys, and turnover analysis.
      • Organizes department for operational efficiency, ensuring good working conditions and staff morale.
      • Works according to Scherdel’s quality and environmental system requirements, and customer quality requirements

      Position Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in administration and experience in Human Resources Department in Manufacturing
