QUALITY INSPECTOR

SCHERDEL Sales & Technology, Inc., located in Muskegon, MI since 1999, with a Metro Detroit office in Brighton, MI, is a subsidiary of SCHERDEL GmbH, located in Marktredwitz in the state of Bavaria, Germany. We are currently managed by the fourth generation of the founding family with sales and manufacturing activities at 42 sites in various European countries, North and South America and in Asia. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• • Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and special gauges
  
• • Responsible for the checking of all productions parts and direct communication with machine operators
• • Incoming inspection of raw material and work in process
• • Possess ability to read and comprehend blueprints; knowledge of metrics, good math skills; SPC
• • Assists in resolving rejections, and other associated problems
  
• • Organization of collection of data
  

• • Performs and maintains gauge calibration systems
  

• • Performs data entry into Quality software
  

• • Operate CMM
  

• • Works according to Scherdel’s quality and environmental system requirements, and customer quality requirements
  

Position Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required

pOSITION ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to bend twist and stand for periods up to 8-12 hours
