Financial Business Analyst 
IN MUSKEGON, MI


SCHERDEL Sales & Technology, Inc., located in Muskegon, MI since 1999, with a Metro Detroit office in Brighton, MI, is a subsidiary of SCHERDEL GmbH, located in Marktredwitz in the state of Bavaria, Germany. Job Function

Support the operational control of Scherdel Sales & Technology, Inc. (SST), preparing operational and financial reports that serve as summary information to managers, identifying relevant results, and compiling analytical reports that allow other employees of the company to make informed decisions regarding operations, cost reductions, and improvements.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Perform monthly booking audits and ensure accuracy of financial records.
      • Design and implement controls for monthly accruals and financial reporting.
      • Prepare monthly forecasts, inventory reviews, productivity analyses, and variance reports.
      • Evaluate, develop, and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
      • Create and distribute monthly dashboards featuring key performance indicators (KPIs).
      • Analyze monthly Profit & Loss statements and provide actionable insights.
      • Prepare budgets, analyze financial results, and derive actionable strategies aligned with company goals.
      • Support plant managers with insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
            • Special Projects as required.

            Required skills:

            • Strong written and oral communication skills with an open and receptive style; adept at sharing ideas and communicating effectively with executive-level audiences.
            • Effective organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
            • Analytical/critical thinking skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to link financial results to operational performance drivers.
            • Problem-solving and solutions-based thinking; oriented towards continuous improvement and achieving targets.
            • Proficient in relevant software, including advanced Excel skills (formula writing, no macros); able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

                  required education:

                  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
                  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience in accounting, data analysis, controlling, or a similar role.
                  • Solid experience in developing and interpreting financial results.
                  • People management and leadership skills advantageous.
